Founded by sisters Linda Summerton and Janet Gibbins in 2003, Advanced Care Australia’s objective is to enhance our clients’ independence and quality of life.
The company was born out of the sisters’ experience when their father was terminally ill. As he was keen to stay at home, they looked in vain for an organisation that could provide support to enable this and offer a flexible service that adapted to the family’s changing needs.
Frustrated by their experience, they began Advanced Care Australia to provide flexible, responsive in-home support.

Our Staff
Advanced Care Australia’s staff team are experienced, motivated, skilled home care workers, with a passion for providing a high-quality service to clients and their families. We place a strong focus on the nurturing and development of individual staff members. All staff have full screening including a federal police check, are Fully Covid 19 Vaccinated, and have appropriate qualifications to meet our client's needs.
Staff are fully insured for Workcover, Public Liability and Professional Indemnity.
Our fantastic Home Care Workers & operational team are matched in skill set and personality type to our clients,
to ensure the best fit possible. We are committed to building long-term relationships between staff and clients to ensure consistency and familiarity.
We provide support to a wide range of clients from the aged and frail, to young children, and adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. We employ local experienced workers and utilise the latest in technology/software to assist us in delivering support.
Here are just some of the mandatory qualifications you can expect our staff to hold:
- Minimum Qualification - Certificate III in Aged Care/ Individual Support
- First Aid and CPR
- Safe Manual Handling
- Experience in all aspects of Personal Care / Meal Preparation / Medication Assist
- Specialist Skills and Qualifications in Palliative Care / Mental Health / Dementia Care / Behaviour Management / Bowel Therapy
- Screening – Australian Federal Police Check / (Blue Card) Working with Children Check / NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card)
